Chassis Mechanic

Rail Logistics, Inc. is looking for qualified Chassis Mechanic(s) to join our Maintenance and Repair Team! A Maintenance & Repair contractor to Norfolk Southern, Rail Logistics, Inc. provides mechanical assistance for the intermodal equipment within the NS Intermodal facility located in Devens, Massachusetts. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, as well as possess a valid state issued driver’s license. Prior Intermodal experience is a plus, but training will be provided for qualified candidates. Salary is n.egotiable based on verified work experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical duties include, but not limited to:

• Perform Annual and Preventative Federal Maintenance inspection and repairs
• Create mobile estimates, Input repair information, take before & after pictures of damage/repairs
• Complete routine and preventative mechanical/electrical repairs on intermodal equipment
• Mig and Arc welding skills are preferred (not required)
• Ability to work independently yet eager to jump in and help team members when needed
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions is required.
• Shift availability is limited to daylight hours, no weekends, holidays at the request of the vendor
• Must be able to provide your own hand tools in order to perform the majority of the required duties
