Rail Logistics, Inc. is currently seeking dependable experienced Trailer Mechanics to join our team at the Ayer Norfolk Southern Intermodal Facility located at 133 Barnum Road Devens, MA 01434. This position is great for entry level or experienced trailer mechanics.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair intermodal chassis including brakes, suspension, electrical, lights, and landing gear
- Conduct FMCSA and DOT-compliant inspections and complete documentation
- Perform structural and cosmetic repairs as needed (e.g., welding, cutting, grinding)
- Replace tires, axles, bushings, and other undercarriage components
- Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively
- Follow all safety procedures and terminal access protocols
- Accurately complete repair orders and inspection forms
- Work independently and/or as part of a team in an outdoor environment
Requirements:
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with intermodal or heavy-duty trailer equipment
- Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Welding and/or fabrication experience
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must have own basic tools; specialty tools provided
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
