Gate Attendant(s)
We are looking for qualified Gate Attendant(s) to join our team.
Located in McCalla, Alabama, within the Norfolk Southern rail yard facility. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, as well as possess a valid state issued driver’s license. Prior experience is a plus, but training will be provided for qualified candidates.

Typical duties include, but not limited to:
- Flexibility to work all shifts and weekends as required
- Monitor container & chassis units at in-gate/out-gate using AGS (automated gate system)
- Input/documentation of damage to container and/or chassis (Basic computer knowledge will be helpful but not required)
- Perform number check(s) on inbound & outbound trains, hitch securement and yard inventory
- Past experience with customer service, computers and basic data entry would benefit this candidate
- Ability to work independently but eager to jump in and help the team when needed
- Candidates with the ability to multi-task and enjoy working in fast paced environments
